Friday Feature: Nathan Carter

Next up on the weekly Friday Feature at Print.Save.Repeat is Nathan Carter, our Customer Service Manager on the PSR Orders Team.
Nathan has worked for us for 3 years now, having started in June 2014 shortly after graduating college. He learned about the company through his older brother Josiah, who worked for Print.Save.Repeat first.
At first Nathan started off on the manufacturing team for a few months, in order to understand the complexities of toner cartridges so that he could service our customers the best. He learned quickly and moved up to being our Customer Service Manager, where he handles all customer service problems, orders, and trains our new customer service representatives.
When asked what his favorite thing is about working here, Nathan says it's making people happy! He enjoys helping them find products and providing technical support for products they've bought. In addition, the rest of the PSR Orders Team agrees that he makes all of us happy too!
Always a tricky question, we asked Nathan if he enjoyed working with his coworkers. His answer was, "I do! I think it's one of the benefits to working here. We have a super good team; everyone's very skilled at what they do, and overall it's a really fun place to work."
One of Nathan's favorite projects to do is on the sales side of his job, by presenting proposals to corporations in order to gain another customer. He says he wouldn't call himself a salesman, but he enjoys the experience.
Another question we had for Nathan was if he saw himself working here for the next 5 - 10 years. Nathan said he could, but he could also see things going a different direction. He shared with us that he originally was pursuing basketball, and if an opportunity in that area opened up, he would definitely consider it. However, he reiterated that he's very happy working here and will essentially just let the chips fall where they may. We're glad to have Nathan for as long as he's here!
Lastly, we asked for Nathan's advice to someone who may be pursuing a job here at Print.Save.Repeat. His recommendation was, "Be ready to work hard; toner cartridges aren't sexy, so put aside your ego; bring ideas, a good attitude, passion, and make the most of it."
Nathan wanted to leave us with a quote from the host of Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs, Mike Row: "If we’re talking about your hobby, by all means, let your passion lead you. But when it comes to making a living it’s easy to forget the dirty truth. Just because you’re passionate about something doesn’t mean you won’t suck at it…While passion is way too important to be without, it is way too fickle to follow around. Which brings us to the final dirty truth, never follow your passion, but always bring it with you."
