Troubleshooting: Blank Pages
This problem is specific to all-in-one cartridges found in printers such as Dell, Lexmark, HP, Brother, and others.
What causes it? All-in-one cartridges have a special trapdoor which opens to expose a brightly colored drum unit. If this door gets stuck or jammed, the laser can’t write on the drum, which causes blank pages.
Try these troubleshooting tips:
1. Check the trapdoor 2. If it seems tight or hard to move, open & close it a few times to get it moving. It may just have been on the shelf for too long. 3. If this trick doesn’t work, you’ll likely need to replace the cartridge.
OR
1. Check the spring attached to the trapdoor 2. If it’s loose, missing, or unwound, you’ll need to replace the cartridge.
